Passport and aupair visa requirements for aupairs

1. Aupair Applicants from all (old and new) European Union member countries

They do not need any aupair visa. They can travel at once. In some countries they need an work allowance (Germany, Austria, France,...). 

Families very often want an aupair at once. We really love it to get such aupair applicants because we can find aupair families oon and do not have any trouble with the aupair visa prodedure. If you are able to come soon we can mediate such aupairs very soon, especially when they are from the od European Union country.

2. Aupair Applicants from the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Japan

 In most countries of the European Union they can start to be aupair without any problem and without a visa. They also can come at once.

3. Aupair Applicants from all other countries 

They need to ask for a visa before they come to one of the countries of the European Union. this has to be donne at the embassy of the target country where you want to go. You have to do this in the country from where your passport is. There are very seldom other possiblities than to do it in this way.

The visa has to be applied with a family invitation letter and in a lot of countries also with work contract between you and the family at the embassy in your country. It need around 1 week(for example Austria) and up to 8-12 week (Germany) to get this visa when you have accepted a family. Aupairs from these conutries ever have to wait in their country to get the au-pair visa. After they got it they can travel to their aupair host families.
