Insurance for aupairs; Costs of an additional health and accident insurance
Aupiar inGermany, Austria, France, Italy
In these countries your au-pair host family will insure you for basic aupair health and accident insurance!
However, it does not cover repatriation costs, accidental death or dismemberment, or emergency evacuation procedures. Participants are advised to obtain additional travel insurance coverage for these expenses.
Aupair in Great Britain, Ireland
These countries offer to all aupairs a national insurance. If you are ill you can go to a specific doctor which works in the area where you live. Often it is better to have an additional insurance.
Aupair in Spain
You have to pay your own insurance. Aupair families do not pay normally.
